From week 3 to the final week, it all seemed so fast. And as expected, the top athletes of Pharmaton MVP Unleashed Challenge collided in the final leg.
Being one of the country’s most ambitious endurance race to date, all five participants gave their all to outdo one another in clinching the top spot of the contest.
At its fourth and final week, the competition between Anthony Cuerpo, TJ Isla, Benson Martinez, Popo Remigio and Monica Torres kicked off at the San Juan Beach Resort in La Union for a surfing and paddling competition. At the break of dawn the next day, the challengers geared up for another round of challenge, this time in Vigan, just like the hit reality show “Amazing Race.”
“This is the first time that I’ve joined a month-long endurance challenge and it really is tough,” said seasoned triathlete Torres.
“I’ve participated in a number of endurance races here and abroad but nothing compares to this,” added Martinez.
A road bike challenge in Pagudpud started day 26. They went to one of northern Philippines' newest adventure - the La Paz Sand Dunes where they got an adrenaline-packed sand boarding activity. Another bike challenge ended the day.
Day 27 were for running and swimming before the group climbed to Baguio. Here, they conquered an uphill bike and run challenge along Naguillan Road. This was the last pitstop before the finish line in Burnham Park.
The scores of the five challengers are now being computed since Day 1 to determine the top winner. At stake is P500,000 for ultimate MVP of the challenge while the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th placers will receive P250,000, P150,000, P100,000 and P50,000, respectively. Long as it may seem, the results of the challenge will be announced on April 26.
After enduring various physical and mental challenges that have left them near exhaustion, the MVP Unleashed Challenge only demonstrates the benefits of having a healthy body and a sharp mind with Pharmaton. Could it be the Ginseng G11 content? Maybe we could ask the Pharmaton MVP Challenge winner very soon about what unleashed the best in him.
